The Barbie Brand Take Over

With the Barbie film on the cusp of its release, brands have collaborated officially with the film or have jumped on the bandwagon with the iconic pink colour being the trendiest colour in the high street currently.

High street brands like Zara, footwear and accessory brand Aldo, beauty and skincare brands such as NYX Professional Make up and Glow Recipe have all partnered with the talk of the town movie and have released limited-edition products to go alongside the rage of the Barbie movie.

With the world set to be gripped by Barbiecore fever this summer, Belgian bag and accessories brand Kipling is thrilled to launch its collaboration with the iconic fashion doll. The range, set to include eight bags and two news accessories, is a playful and positive collection finished in pink, perfectly colour matched to the iconic hue instantly recognisable as Barbie.

Featuring zips and trimmings in white, there’s a super sweet feel to these innovatively crafted delectables that are lacquered with a transparent glaze to create a special shiny version of Kipling’s signature crinkle nylon. Stand-out details include a silicone Barbie logo tag, adding the iconic brand to the seam on the bag’s side. On the opposite side, a doll, wearing a Barbie-pink jacket, dangles from the handle. With iconic detailing and finished in Barbie pink with a new shiny glaze, these are lightweight, optimistic must-haves with a fresh feel and a super-energetic mood.

Meanwhile, the range of eight bags features some of Kipling’s most wanted and bestseller styles including the Art lightweight tote and the compact Seoul backpack. Smaller-scale bags include the top handle Bina, cross-body Afa, shoulder bags Gabbie Mini and Ayda and the Creativity pouch. The collection is completed by the inclusion of the Yasemina waist-pack, the perfect option to complement your ensemble this summer.
